to do. to see. to hear. to love

today must be all about the places i have lived or something. as i also lived in alabama for 3 years in high school. check out this line that uses such a magnificent  and lovely way of dying their organic clothes…here is the process:

“Green T partners with AURA, an Indian factory certified by GOTS that implements a truly cyclical production process to achieve 100% organic textiles. As well as being anti-bacterial and anti-allergen, all materials used to dye Green T are non-toxic and any excess water is returned to the fields in an even purer form.

Green T uses natural herbs, plants, flowers and minerals in its dyeing process, an Indian tradition dating back thousands of years creating rich, vibrant, long lasting color. Dedicated to finding the most natural way to make Green T, herbs are known to contain therapeutic and medicinal properties, evoking a sense of health, peace and well being to the wearer.

Green T looks to improve and support the communities we work with. We partner with non–profit organizations that work towards women’s empowerment by assisting and promoting women’s artisanal cooperatives. Each piece is hand touched, made by local women that keep the art of craft alive while reminding us of the thought and care that went into crafting it.”
